Overview: Mystery Writers of America is the premier organization for mystery and crime writers, professionals allied to the crime writing field, aspiring crime writers, and folks who just love to read crime fiction. MWA approached The Book Reporter Network, an organization that owns and manages several web sites related to book reviews & reading to re-haul & update their website. The Book Reporter Network chose to work with us for this project. The brief - create a website that was current in terms of technology and features and simple in design.
Our Solution: We worked with The Book Reporter Network team outlining the features and web trends that MWA could leverage for its members and audience. Based on these we then built a simple website using a content management engine.
Result: A simple, easy to use web site built on Drupal, a popular open source content management & social networking engine. The site has features like individual pages for author members, blogs and a bookstore. It also has a comprehensive administration section that allows for easy user management & content updation.
